Furnace Repair in Sugarland Run, VA

Sugarland Run is a 1970s planned community on the Potomac side of Sterling — California-contemporary townhomes and single-family homes, 26 miles of wooded walking trails, and furnaces that have been running since the Carter administration. We keep them running.

The Sugarland Run furnace

Forty-plus years of heating, still going

Sugarland Run went up in the 1970s and 1980s with a distinctive California-contemporary look — vaulted ceilings, modern exteriors — that stands out against the colonials around it. The furnaces are just as distinctive: compact units squeezed into townhome closets and utility rooms, many of them original to the build, heating three levels through ductwork that has seen half a century of winters.

This is ductwork-and-blower territory. Vaulted ceilings push heat upward, long runs to the top floor lose it along the way, and the blower motors that have been running since the 1980s are living on borrowed time. We tune them, we fix them, and when one finally gives out we install a replacement that fits the same tight closet — measured, not improvised.

Built around compact units, tight closets, and three-level airflow.

Air Duct Repair & Sealing

Three-level townhomes live or die by their ducts — we seal and balance Sugarland Run systems so the top floor catches up.

Blower Motor Repair

Decades-old blowers in Sugarland Run closets rattle, hum, and quit — we restore full airflow to all three floors.

Thermostat Installation & Repair

One dial thermostat for three floors was never enough — modern controls installed and calibrated for townhome life.

Furnace Maintenance & Tune-Ups

Forty-year-old furnaces survive on maintenance — our tune-ups are how Sugarland Run's originals keep going.

Whole-Home Humidifier Installation

Vaulted ceilings and forced air dry Sugarland Run homes out — a duct-mounted humidifier fixes the whole house.

Carbon Monoxide Safety & Detection

Old gas furnaces in tight townhomes need working CO protection — we check detectors and combustion together.

Sugarland Run questions

What the community asks us

Townhome heating, answered straight.

Do you work on Sugarland Run townhomes?

Yes — Sugarland Run's townhomes are core territory for us. We service the compact furnaces tucked into closets and utility rooms, along with the community's single-family homes.

My townhome's upstairs is always colder. Can that be fixed?

Usually. Three-level townhomes lose heat through long duct runs and weak blowers. We test airflow, seal leaks, and rebalance the system so the top floor catches up.

Where exactly is Sugarland Run?

Sugarland Run is a planned community in the Sterling area of Loudoun County, north of Route 7 and south of the Potomac River — Sterling, VA 20164, near the NOVA Sterling campus.

How fast can you reach Sugarland Run from Herndon?

Sugarland Run is just west of Herndon across the county line — a short drive. No-heat calls get priority dispatch.

Should I replace my old townhome furnace or keep repairing it?

We inspect first — heat exchanger, repair history, and efficiency — then show you the math on both sides. Some 1970s units are worth one more repair; some aren't.
